As of today, we're 10/12 in 25-player Tier 11 Normal Mode content. We killed Cho'gall tonight in about an hour and change, thus completing Bastion of Twilight 25 Normal Mode and continuing our rapid, US Top 20 run through 25 man content. A few comp tweaks was really all that was needed to win this surprisingly fun fight.

But Cho'gall was the bonus. The real meat of the night was finally killing Twilight Ascendants. Cataclysm is a great expac thus far. And even normal mode Tier 11 content is vastly superior entertainment wise to anything this game has put out since Ulduar (and maybe since Sunwell).

Except this fight. It's Phase 2 mechanics are fun for about 30 minutes. Then all the "cool" and "fun" things start showing up. Like tornados on top of depressions. And a strat that involved acceptable sacrifices and group stacking we can do only because we planned for this contingency.

Here's some quotes from clearing Tier 11 content so far:

Atramedes: "So whose else is this their favorite fight in Cata yet?"

Chimaeron: "That Phase 2 is retardedly fun." "Yeah it really is"

Magmaw: "Wow that's a cool fight"

Double Dragons: "HAHAH Wow..."

Twilight Ascendants: "I felt like I've been kicked in the balls over and over and over"

This dumb fight... cheap in an old NES game (think Battletoads) kinda way... not hard... sucked. It felt like getting molested with a rusty pipe. So we returned the favor to it's creator. 9 out of 10 fights being nothing but win is a pretty great record. But holy shit, if this game were played on Nintendo, I think the controllers would have gone flying!
