ABOUT TYRANNY - OUR HISTORY Tyranny was founded in November 2006 on Lothar as the post-Nax40 reform of "Ruin" for the purpose of reigniting high level Horde-side progression on that server at the start of Burning Crusade. Tyranny has been in continuous existence since shortly before Burning Crusade was released but its foundational legacy can be traced to WoW's launch. Within a couple of months, Tyranny would become Lothar and later Drak'tharon's premier raiding guild, raiding 25 man content to every major server first since 2007. Due to Drak'tharon's long decline in population and quality competition, in November 2011, the guild transfered to Shattered Hand in search of a more vibrant server and battlegroup on which to enjoy the game.
Tyranny is a fast paced raiding guild that has been server first and US Top 100 since Sunwell was released. It manged pre-nerf kills of all content in that expansion and Wrath of Lich King, including US#70th Mu'ru, US #80th Kil'jaeden, US #78 Yogg+0 "Death's Demise", and US #80 Lich King 25 Hard Mode. In the process we have been home to some of the highest ranking World of Log players and some of the WoW community's most prolific and vocal tanks and healers.
At the launch of Cata, we were ranked consistently in the US Top 20 for 25 man guilds before we temporarily switched to 10s for several months to take our first minor break in 4 years. Even with that "break" we were indisbutably the top guild on Drak'tharon before deciding to restart our historic 25 man raid for the second half of Tier 11 and preparing for Firelands.
The restart of our 25 man lead to rapid success. Within an astonishing 10 raids, we became 8/13 Heroic in Tier 11 content, averaging one new Heroic boss kill a night. In the near term, we are using their tier to clear as much of it as we can while we work out any kinks we have to prepare for Firelands. By week nine, we became
11/13 with our Nefarian, Cho'gall and Al'Akir kills. Shortly after we killed SInestra, completing our comeback.
In October 2011 we achieved the US #75 Heroic Ragnaros 25 player kill after roughly 350 attempts. Most notably we achieved our 3rd and 4th kills ont he same night we cleared the other 6/7, in the same raid week due to the guild transfer resetting our raid lock out.
At the present time we're clearing Heroic Firelands 25 weekly and prepare for 4.3 / Dragon Soul.
OUR FOCUS Tyranny is a hardcore progression raiding guild that exclusively raids 25 mans. We do not intend to shift focus from heroic 25-man content to only normal modes or 10 man at any point in the future. Our raiding goals are crossed with the fact that we raid up to 16 hours a week.

LOOT SYSTEM We utilize a Loot Council system. The guild loot councilors are the officers.
Tyranny's loot council is designed to be pragmatic and speed progression by funneling gear towards classes and players who will offer the highest net benefit to the raid on the next progression fight.
The guild leadership views loot not as a reward, but as a tool to move the guild forward in ranking and achievement. Loot council allows us to make best use of the tool.
