Hello all! Please, please! Hold the applause!  Grin

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Rob. I am 25 years old and live in Ontario, Canada. I am a graduate of Computer Science from a respected school in the province and currently work as a programmer for web applications. I have a house, a dog, and blah blah blah. I'm sure you are bored of the real life stuff by now.

I've been a restoration druid pretty much since I hit 70 with him last summer. I joined a friend from work's guild Lost Order of Akalabeth (Deaco I believe you still pop into the forums and say "Hey" every so often Smiley) and we raided casually there for a few months. When WotLK came out I made it a point to be the first level 80 in the guild, and 5 days after release I made it (work schedules ftl, would have been faster).

About two months ago I took my druid from LOA and joined Mission Accomplished. The reason I did this was I wanted to step up my raiding game and see more content. Shortly after joining I became an Officer in MA, in charge of healing in raids. To date MA has progressed 6/14 in 25m Ulduar and 8/14 in 10m Ulduar. I've had a blast with MA but find myself frustrated with the lack of seriousness in the guild; the consistent attendance problems with some members. I find myself wanting to step up my game again - really take it to another level.

A friend of mine (Aderthad) just recently joined Tyranny and has given me a bit of a scoop as to how it's like, and I hope I can be a part of it! I like my raids challenging and fun, and always trying to push it further. I treat everyone with respect, and generally a pretty laid back guy. Always willing to take advice and criticism, and put it to good use so I can come back better than ever.

Anyways, that's a bit of the personal side of Pahimar. If you would like to know more about me, please PLEASE feel free to ping me in game or on the forums here. I hope to be seeing more of you all in the future!

I see you don't have many 25m Uld achievs. A WWS/WMO shows alot more than HPS/DPS, I'd like if you could link a parse or two just to give us a feel of your playstyle. You're a bit undergeared for our current progression, also why did you only clear Naxx25 on 5-14-09 ?? Plx inform me how you would benefit our raid?

Working as Intended

I see you only used 9 flasks ever, 5 of which were flask of pure mojo. Are you planning to be prepared for raids, with full consumables? It can be rough when your a recruit, I currently use 20 flasks per week minimal (not counting ten man hard mode nights ).

current kills to date
7 Flame Leviathan kills (Ulduar 25 player)
3 Razorscale kills (Ulduar 25 player)
2 Ignis the Furnace Master kills (Ulduar 25 player)
2 XT-002 Deconstructor kills (Ulduar 25 player)
1 Assembly of Iron kills (Ulduar 25 player)
1 Kologarn kills (Ulduar 25 player)

I can see what you mean about progression being a bit of a disappointment. Explains your current gear though

First the flasks question. I always carry a full stack each of Mojo and Frost Worm. The reason I haven't used many flasks is that we never flasked for Naxx (what was the point?). We would only flask for our Ulduar runs, which never seemed to happen as much as I would have liked.

As for the late full Naxx clear: it was in May that I switched from Lost Order of Akalabeth and joined Mission Accomplished. Prior to this, I followed LOA's raiding schedule which was very casual and consisted mainly of 10m's. At the time I preferred more to socialize (and achievement farm) and did not pug much other than the occasional Vault and Malygos runs.

Mission Accomplished's raid nights for the past two nights have fallen apart due to poor attendance. I hope to have a current WWS to provide in the next day or two so that you can see how I perform. Short of that (but more time consuming) I could join some members of Tyranny (or their alts) in a fast heroic/10m raid to also show what I am capable of doing (even though it is not a true representation of what I can do in 25m's). I will be providing a recent WWS regardless.

Edit: I missed one of Eref's questions. As for what I can bring to Tyranny is that, in my opinion and what I have seen in my own performance, despite being undergeared I perform very well, and compete closely with other healers geared more heavily in 25m Ulduar gear. I put the effort into learning the mechanics in advance of the raid, and in the actual fights I pick up the application of the theory quickly. A small side note is that I currently have 3 shards of Val'anyr. Not a lot, but some progression towards the legendary mace.

Edit Redux: Realized that my Armory may occasionally show me as Moonkin. I have a Balance offspec for questing and to fill caster dps needs in raids as needed.

Which spell is most of your healing?  Which mods do you use?

Thx for taking the time to answer my questions. This guild gives back, what you give to the raid. By being Prepared (max enchants/gemmings/flasks/etc) and keeping a very high raiding attendance on top of always playing at your best is what we look foward to most.

Lyelu: Rejuvenation, Regrowth, and Wild Growth take up the majority of my heals when I am in raids with other competent healers. I try to keep a Regrowth going on the tanks as well to help. Nourish is spammed as needed to bring people up quickly. As for addons right now I will list the more raid centric ones (I can list the ones that would be considered more UI/general). I am at work right now, so once I get home I will review this post to ensure I captured them all. I will also post a screenshot of my UI if there is interest in seeing that. Update: This was an accurate list.

  • DBM
  • Healbot
  • Omen
  • oRA2
  • Recount
  • Failbot (was helpful in calling out those raiders that screwed up in MA raids, but would remove this if I join Tyranny)

I have given Grid a cursory try in previous months but found myself coming back to Healbot. If there are people here experienced with Grid (or other healing addons that work well for them) I would appreciate the chance to speak with you so that I can learn these addons properly. When it comes to addons and interfaces I am ALWAYS looking for tips to bring out the best features with the least complexity possible, or in what people are using to make their setup really work for them.

I will say now (and you will see in practice) that I am always prepared and ready to go. It is also very VERY rare that I miss a raid (and always with advanced warning and notification when it does happen). I view missing a raid (without proper forewarning or notification) as being the same as missing an important business meeting; there are 24 other people that are depending on you to be there. Being late or not showing up at all to something like this in a work environment would result in severe punishment and I feel the same applies in the game world.

Edit: Bad list formating

Raid: "BLAM! YOU FAILLLLL!"
Nub: "...rez plz?"
.
.
.
.
.
.
Raid: "Nope"

lulz

Edit: Yeah, bad joke, my bad :-p

I have uploaded a WWS report from some stuff I did yesterday. It can be found at http://wowwebstats.com/dcqonesoqq343

This report also captures some old world raids I did yesterday (where I was dps). Please disregard those fights. The ones that do relate to my healing are the Emalon and Archavon fights. Both of these raids were pugged, and the 25m pug fell apart because of a lack of competent DPSrs.

I hope this report is to your liking. I will continue to try to get a sampling of my heals in a 25m for your review as well.

I have also dropped Mining as a profession in favor of Tailoring (for the embroideries)

We're presently evaluating your app. Get back to you soon.

Oh and by the way did Aderthad get hit by a car or something? A speedboat? A meteor?

Oh and its nice to see another Computer Scientist in WoW. Cool

I don't know to be honest, I haven't seen Aderthad on at all (not even on the alts I know about). Must have been caught in a void zone or something.

You are Comp Sci as well? Most excellent!

Another WWS!
1 - http://wowwebstats.com/dzk64rh2ke5pa (10m Ulduar)

Edit: I have made some slight changes to my gear and spec (after the above raid) to better my healing. Biggenz of Bacardi gave me some excellent tips and at the end of the night, after upgrades and tweaks, I'm up 78 spellpower and 1% haste (completely unbuffed in Tree).

I hope you see this in time to review my changes before you make your final decision Smiley

From my experience when we recruit from Lothar, it turns out they get kicked within a week or two for:

1. not showing up.
2. sucking.
3. not showing up, AND sucking.

Not saying you will, but we had another druid from your guild join and give us the whole yippidy do dah story of always being on and
always making raids. He musta either, like skroe said, Got hit by a meteor, or was a douchebag and just quit after giving us all that story. never the less still makes me wonder if anyone from mission is as dedicated as they want other to believe.

I'm honestly taking a stab in the dark here, but i think he just quit.

I got thinking this morning - I remembered a few weeks ago he was pretty sick. There was also someone in the guild that was getting surgery for Skoleosis. I can't remember who it was other than it was one of our DKs (Aderthad was on his DK Hottsauce most of the time). I don't think that it was Aderthad that needed surgery, but it is possible.

As for dedication issues from MA, yes it's no lie to know that the majority of the people are not dedicated. Before Niptuck in mid May tried to make it a hardcore guild it was a casual guild led by Shortakilla. With Niptuck quitting the game 2 weeks ago and Shortakilla taking the reins again it is going back to being semi-casual (but with more stuff getting done - odd). Since mid May I have been one of the main officers of the guild, and the raid leader for all raids. With a minimum of 4 raids a week for 2 1/2 months, I missed a total of 1 1/2 raids during that time period (went home one weekend in early June to celebrate my wife's birthday with family).

I 100% understand that to Tyranny all of this is just words (as an officer I would be cautious of it too), and so I look forward to the chance to prove it with action Smiley

Edit: If you didn't show up, wouldn't that automatically be that they are sucking? :-p
